Community Beautification

Better Badin, Inc. & its Volunteers planned a Beautification Project that was recently completed adjacent to the Badin School. The two areas begin at the corner of Boyden Street & Nantahala Street & move west on Nantahala bordering the school playground. Better Badin Volunteers chose these two areas for Beautification because they are on one of the major thoroughfares thru town. These areas are seen daily by residents of Badin, visitors and the parents of Badin School Students. Better Badin members applied for and received the Keep Stanly Beautiful, Inc. Grant to ensure the success of this project. Better Badin Volunteers were able to purchase and plant 20 Firepower Nandina's and have delivered and spread 2 truckloads of mulch. The Project Mission is to improve the quality of life by offering a cleaner, greener and more beautiful community for the residents of and the visitors to, the town of Badin. We felt our project aligned itself with the objectives of KSB, Inc. Better Badin is very appreciative of the KSB Grant and the impact it had on the beautification of our town.
